Dareschool 2008

If you would like to apply for Dare School 2008 just click the image above or go to www.dareschool.com

A word of warning though. Malcolm our tutor who has taken over from Marjorie has been overwhelmed with young creatives sending in the same old ideas and has gone a little ga ga.

You’ll see.

Made In Brunel

I went to the opening night of the Made In Brunel (the graduate show for Multimedia, Product design and engineering students from Brunel uni)
First up was the Pecha Kucha (Japanese for 'chit-chat', where 10 speakers show 20 slides for 20 second each) where out very own James Cooper spoke about what he can do, what he can't do and showed us a few perks of his job! Other speakers included; Sir Digby Jones, Joe Ferry - Head of design at Virgin Atlantic, Neil Tierney - Founder of Lightweight Medical and Clive Grinyer - Director of design for Orange France Telecom.

Next up was the private view of the exhibition. I exhibited at Made In Brunel last year so it was good to come back and see how this years students had taken on the task of putting on the show. The exhibition was well run and the work was inspiring. It was a good night of talking to new graduates, catching up with old graduates and looking at some nice work.

Go-Kart Challenge

Elliot and I put our DIY skills to the test to create a Go-Kart for a new Vodafone ad. Michelle and I then took the Go-Kart on location to shoot the ad on a cold morning in February - here are some behind the scenes pictures, a review that featured in Campaign and the final thing.

Knowing Me/Knowing You....A-HA!

Every 'First Thursday Meeting' of each month, 2 employees at Dare are randomly selected to tell us about their lives using slides they have prepared. This is the 'Randomizer' Benji, Elliot and I came up with to pick the lucky candidates for the month ahead. So far Lee, Nigel and Matt have shared their interesting backgrounds with us! Very entertaining!

P.S. Thanks goes to my hubby who assisted us with the coding!

It's Awfully good don't you know.

http://www.theawfullygoodgallery.blogspot.com

Luke and I have started a new blog!

The internet is a melting pot of images which are good - not because thy are good, but because they are awful. Google image search holds the key to so many wonders of the web so look out for searchword and page number updates.
